Kids need consistency and freedom to explore. At Building Blocks Christian Learning Center, we provide consistency through a loosely scheduled framework and appropriate freedom within the framework. Hopefully this will give you a little sneak peak into what a day looks like with everyone at Building Blocks.
Play Time
Young children are naturally curious and learn best by exploring and discovering for themselves through play.
Play is essential for all children's well-being and development. During play children learn to communicate their thoughts, feelings, ideas, and needs to others. Our daily child care routine gives ample time for play and provides a variety of educational materials and experiences for the children to choose from.
Group Time
Group time is an excellent time for children to participate in activities as a group.
Whether it's a game of Simon Says, a verse of Jesus Loves Me, or a simple craft, group time allows kids to learn by watching others and to follow simple directions with their peers. Group activities also reinforce a sense of belonging and create new experiences that are essential for proper development. New activities inspire kids to explore the world around them and to apply their new-found skills.
Lunch Time
Everyone's favorite time of the day, lunch time at Building Blocks Learning Center is always a delicious experience.
Our staff prepare fun, well balanced meals everyday including fruits and vegetables, right here at the learning center.
Game Time
Game time allows kids to stretch their legs and get a little crazy. Everyone needs to let it all out sometimes. Game time is that time.
Sometimes we play structured games, and other times we run free. Both are good, and a balanced mix of freedom and structure is even better!Whenever possible we play outside, under the sun and clouds. Whenever the weather's inclement - it's raining, too hot, or freezing cold - we stay inside and make use of our 1100sf activity room.
